Should the military be allowed to recruit at high schools?

This was a different topic that I ran across and curious about others opinions on this. I think the military already does a form of recruiting in high school through ROTC programs. I don't find any personal negatives against it at the moment. Sure there's the whole possibility of dying in war, but i think anyone with half a brain understands they are signing up for that possibility when joining the military. But to play devil's advocate, I could see a person in this age bracket having the "it won't happen to me because ..." mentality. Any thoughts?

People are indoctrinated to believe in some sense of nationalistic pride, and that it is honorably or dutiful to join the military. Successful propoganda to ensure such feelings are prominent within society is rampant, and well cultivated, throughout the populous. It can be argued that targeting the youth with these underhanded sentiments is especially exploitative and should thus be unpermited.
