It's official Bernie Sanders is running for president of the United States in 2020.
Now whether he is going to win the Democratic nominee or not is up for debate. I think it's very likely he will, given the recent shift to the left in the Democratic party with the rise of the likes of Alexandria Ocasio Cortez.
Key points to note if he wins the nominee
-Like the previous Democratic nominee, Hillary, he is a practiced politician.
-Unlike her he pretty much stood for his principles all his political career.
-He is hugely popular because of that especially amongst younger people, if you remember in 2016 a lot of young people would have voted for him but instead stayed home on election day because he wasn't on the ballot, remember '#FeelTheBern'?
-Socialism has gained a lot of popularity recently also especially amongst young people so him running as a democratic socialist could benefit him more than it could harm him.
I think he will give Trump a good run for his money if he wins the nominee and Trump even started firing shoots really check this:
What do you guys think?
