The state of Dota and the future the MOBA genre

Recently I started to drift away from the MOBA genre in general and Dota specifically, in the case of Dota the main reason is it simply became a League of Legends clone I remember back when Dota was its own thing and the learning curve was steep and it made the game more difficult but much more enjoyable and rewarding, now it's nothing of what it used to be the game is so much easier and that reward factor is pretty much gone for me, I mean you can restart your MMR? come on Dota.

I don't know if what happened to Dota has a relationship to other MOBAs but when I tried playing HoTS I felt the same and it irritated me and it's making me drift away from the whole genre

What do you guys think? have you played any MOBAs?

I play League of Legends but I quit playing ranked because of all the grief that comes with it. (so much hate from the other players in ranked) I've found the ARAM style much more relaxing when I play LOL. I have all the heroes so there's the challenge of switching between all those heroes and trying to play decently. (there's no way you can remember how to play all of them...) I like LOL ranked play in that it resets every year, and you have to prove yourself again each year. I'm going to implement something like that here on FD.

Well ranked in Dota was different, it was a number that you accumulate from other players by beating them for example if you win a ranked game your MMR increases by 25 and the other team that lost all its members lose the 25 points from their MMR, that's not the same now they changed it to match LoL's ranking system, so if you spent three or four years to accumulate that MMR bad luck for you .
